The Nottingham RSPB post-Christmas walk. A good day for Treecreepers, Nuthatches and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers; however, of the dozen or so shots I took of Treecreepers there was only one really good one. Better than none at all though!

Taken before the visitor's centre was opened - the door's still boarded up.

The reason there are twitchers in some of the photographs was due to the appearance of a Sora Rail, the photographs of which are elsewhere.

There should really be more photographs of this momentous occasion, but frankly I was pissed. But in the good way.

Out and about in Sorrento

This somehow became a VERY long section so I've split it into three (only quite long) sections. This part contains pictures of a town in the hills (Pontone?) where we were "trapped" for a while due to a coach broken down.  Quite a lovely place to be trapped in!

Limestone caves, accessible by boat.  Some great formations, plus interesting WWII graffiti (fascists + invasion + volcanic eruptions = time to find a safe place!).
